Three Question
Leo Tolstoy.
There is also thing which requires for a learner
to learn this skill and that is the urge of learning if the learner has this
urge than he can learn so many new things without hesitation and therefore
every one must cultivate this urge of learning new things.
In the story Three
Question we have three characters A King, Hermit and beard man.
The king always wanted to know answer of Three question were
1) The right time for every
action.
2) Who were the most necessary
people?
3) What is the most impotant
thing to do because the king thought if he comes to know the answer of this
three question that he would never fail in anything he might undertake?
The king was very curious to know
this questions and therefore he announced that whoever will give the king the
perfect answer the king would give a great reward to anyone but for that person
has to teach him what was the right time for every action who were the most
necessary people and what was the most impotant things to do. Many people came
and tried their best to give satisfactory answers but the king was not
satisfied with any of the answers and give reward to none. The king was little disappointed
because he was not getting the answer finally the king decided to met the
hermit who lived in the wood before he went to the hermit he wear simple cloths
and disguised himself in a simple common man .He went to hermit all alone with
any bodygruds.
When he met the hermit .The
hermit was doing some were with spade the king went up to him and said “I have
come to you wise hermit to ask you to answer three question”.
The hermit heard those
questions but answered nothing .He continue with his work. The hermit was
looking tried and therefore the king asks the hermit to allow him to work for
the hermit for a while. The hermit gave the spade and set down while digging
the king ask the hermit more than twice to give his answers but hermit did not
give any answer and the last time the king said if he cannot give his answer
than tell him that he cannot do meanwhile the hermit said to the king that
someone is coming out of the wood .Thre was a wound in the stomach of that beard
man.
The king tried his best
to bandage the wound of that beard man. He give him fresh water to drink lying
on the bed .The men closed his eyes and
the king who was also tried of doing work also felt a sleep and in the morning
.The beard man wake up and ask the king for his forgiveness. He explain the
whole thing that he is enemy of the king and had came to kill him because the
king excited his brother and scaled his property and he knew that the he was going
to met the hermit but the bodygruds of the king recognized him and wounded him
.He tried to escape from them and would have die if you had not dressing my
wound.” The bared man said “I wish to kill you and you have saved my life” and
the life of mine is now given by you and from now the beard man promise the
king that he will be this most faithful slams.
The king was very happy that the gained his enemy as his friend .The
king forgive the beard man and promised to restore his property .Now the king
wanted to leave and for the last time he went up to the hermit and again asked
him to answer his three question .The hermit replied “ You have already
been answered”. The king could
not understand that how he got his answers and the hermit said
1) The most impotant time is “Now”.
The present is only time which is.
2) The most necessary person
is whoever you are with.
3) The impotant thing is to do
good to the person you are with. And this how the answers of the hermit pleased
the king.
Thus the story of Leo Tolstoy
three questions teaches that the king could learn such impotant things only
when he had the urge to get the answers of the question if the king would have
not drop his ego .he would have never learn this answer and thus three question
merely killed the enemy of the king and the three question also killed the
king. The story also tell as that “The present is not only time we can control.”
and a one proverb says
“You are never too
old to learn “.
And another proverb is
“You will not grow at all if you think you
know it all”
One must learn the
urge that the king had he continued his hunt to get the right person from whom
he could get satisfactory answer till he met the hermit and he also learnt to
forgive the man who come to kill him. The king said a learning goal does not
stop till he achieve if he felt that he knew everything he never would began
the process of learning.
