                                      In the day to day life to get satisfactory job one have to face interviews and to know how to behave, how to answer and how to “present yourself” during interview is also a skill that everyone need to learn is specially those who are willing to obtain the aimed job.

                                        Here in the story “The lighthouse keeper of Aspinwall” by Henry Sienkiewicz .We have Skavinski who is seventy years old man who apply for the job of the light house keeper because in Aspinwall the place of the lighthouse keeper had become vacant and it was necessary to fell this place at the earliest movement possible because for the vessels while navigation in difficult time is specially at night with Fogs. It becomes nearly impossible for the vessels where to navigate their boats or steamer at that time the only guide for the vessels is the light house.

                         The task of the finding a new keeper was not that easy because of few reasons the first reason was it was very necessary to find a man within Twelve hours second. The man must be unusually conscientious while the reason was there was utter lack of the candidates.

                    There was also reason why there was utter lack of man is specially for the post of the light house keeper the reason was the life on Tower is very difficult and the life on Tower is for people who love idealness and vagrant life beside all this reasons the life of the light house keeper is almost like “A Prisoner”. The light house keeper cannot live the island accept only Sunday.

                     The life the light house keeper becomes even more boring because there is no inhabitant and therefore the light house keeper has to past his most of the time without interacting with anyone. The job of the light house keeper is that during the day he gives signals by displaying Flex of various colors to indicate the change of barometer in the evening. He lights the lantern over all the life of the light house keeper is the life of “Monk”.

                          Skavinski knew all this and he also was aware of the difficulties that a light house keeper has to face before he went for the interview. He went for the interview. He does his ground work very well he also knew all the basic information about the light house keeper and therefore after having required knowledge of the post of light house keeper .He decided that this job sits him the best.

                                           He knew that the job need a person willing to live like a prisoner with little contact with the outside world and Skavinski at the age of 70 needed dress therefore when he went to meet Mr. Isaac Falconbridge .He knew what exactly will please Mr. Isaac when he went for the interview Isaac was skeptical about his fitness of the job due to his age. Skavinski gave the information of his achievement to Mr. Isaac and also told him that 

               “I am able to be  a conscientious light house keeper”. 

                       Mr. Isaac then ask him that the job requires a person who is healthy and strong enough to climb the tower a number of times daily than Skavinski replied he has crossed the plains on foot and therefore he has enough strength in his legs to climb up the tower number of times than Skavinski told Mr. Isaac if he still thinks that he is too old for a light house keeper than Skavinski said

“ This place is one of those which I have wished for most ardently” than he said “ I am old I needed rest”.

                     Therefore this is the place where he can rest and because of the blessing of the boat Skavinski got a job which suits him and his health the best he also says

 “I am like a ship which if it misses the harbor will be lost”. He also said to Mr. Isaac

 “If you wish to make and old man happy, he said to Isaac to the I am honest”

  

                              After hearing what Skavinski said Mr. Isaac was very much impressed by his honesty and he was touched by good and simple heart of Skavinski and therefore he said to Skavinski that he got the job and from now he is the light house keeper Skavinski after hearing Mr. Isaac was very glad and happy he becomes finally turned to the natural  rhythm of the island where the light house sits.

                      Thus Skavinski was old at according to Mr. Isaac has physic was not that strong but one proverbs says when you meet a man you judge him by his clothes, when you leave, you judge him by his heart initially Mr. Isaac judge Skavinski from his physical appearance when he talk with him .Mr. Isaac was impressed by his strong will and desire to get aim and wished job. Skavinski implied his interview skill while giving the interview .He got selected and Mr. Isaac like one proverbs suggest honesty is the best policy was impressed by the honesty of Skavinski .Skavinski wanted the job of the light house keeper but old age was the hurdle his removed this hurdle by implying his interview skill.
