My Financial Career
Stephan Leacock.
People sometimes get nervous
when they are doing sometimes new or when they are in strange situation. It
happens with everyone to get nervous is not a bad thing it proves that the
person is normal but getting to nervous some there destroys your inner strength
and your will power to fought against any unfavorable situation and there for
thy very well known proverbs
‘Where there is a will there is away’.
There for everyone should have a strong
will to find out solution in all the unfavorable situations. The story may
financial career teaches the readers very well on how to strengthen and to
cultivate ones emotional intelligence in this story .We have a narrator who
often gets nervous and afraid of bank official he never thinks that he will
never able to deal with the bank official and therefore he gets very nervous.
In the story we see that
narrator want to save this money in the bank by opening and account but he says
that “ When he go in to the bank he get nervous the clerk make him nervous the
little window of the counters make him nervous everything in the bank make him nervous”.
We he goes to the accountant he asks him
to meet the manager ‘ Alone ’ .he also did not why said he word alone he
accountant agreed and took him to the manager when he met the manager he again
asked him the same “ Can I see you alone “again he did not know why he uttered
that word alone again .The manager thought that he had a secret to reveal and therefore
he took him to the private room and ask
him that if he is one of Pinkerton’s men after hearing the view of the manager.
The narrator thought that the manager thinks that he is a detective but the
narrator soon revealed the truth by saying that he is not a detective but he
just wanted to open an account in bank when manager heard this he was in away
angry with the narrator and therefore he called his accountant to take him out
of the room and to tell him how to do the proceger when he thought that he
should draw out six dollars for the present use and someone gave him the check
book and someone told him how to write in that checkbook. He was supposed to
write six dollars but instead of he had written fifty six. Someone asked him if
his going to drawing all the dollars out again than the narrator realized again
that he had written fifty six instead of writing six and the narrator replied
that he wants to draw out all the money.
After this the
narrator went out of the bank and seens than he never went to bank and his last
dialogues he says I keep my money in cash in my trousers pocket and my saving
in silver dollars in a sock.
If the emotional
intelligence of the narrator had been better develop. He would have been able
to handle the situation in the bank more effectively and with more confidence.
The writer Stephan Leacock
though his story my financial carrier tries to deliver a message a vary serous
message which helps the reader to cultivate strong emotional intelligence one
must learn when he should get nervous or when one should control such emotions
because if you fail to control you excusive nervousness than you may become
center of laughter for others because in the selfish world there are not one
who is going to emphasis with what you feel and therefore it would be better
for everyone that they learn where and when to express his nervousness.
