The short note about the "Black Literature".



                 Black literature
                         


                            
                                   Black literature deals with the literature which is written by black people .Generally black people belong to Africa and they use American languages, some of them receded, live in America as well as their weapon to express their thought and feeling regarding condition.

 African American Literature:-

                         The history of African American literature may usefully be divided in five periods and in each of this the prominent literature is both shaped by and helps to shape the social situation of blacks of the times .This periods are the time of Slavery. (1746-1865) reconstruction and after (1865-1990); The Harlem Renaissance and modernism (1919-1960), Blacks arts movement (1960—70) and writing after. (1970).
                       Until 1865 writing by African American is dominated by the fact of slavery. The first known writing by an African in the America colonies is a poem by Lucy published in 1746. Terry was born  in Africa and brought to colonies as a slave giving the racist belief of the time the very act of writing by an African .American was important in demonstrating a capacity for higher thought and there for as evidence of full humanity. The figurative slave narrative flourish during the 1850 until Emancipation it typifies much later African American writing in aiming to alter the consciousness of its readership in an attempt to improve or draw attention to the social condition of blacks. This sense of mission or purpose has often being considered a distinguishing feature of African American writing and it was as especially evident between 1865. And 1990. In this period prose literature and the essay are dominant, while poetry and drama are less in evident The essay from was an important weapon in fighting for social justice and also for reflecting on the deal mass facing the recent ling freed back influential prose writer including

                     Charles W. Chestnut (1858-1932) and
                     James Weldon, Johnson (1871-1938)
                     Paul Laure Dewar (1872- 1906)
                           is an important poet among the first the use black Vernacular in poetry.
